Hey everyone, just wanted to say I really enjoy this website and especially playing against you all.

I never really went deep into poker before (not further than watching a WSOP tournament on television really), but I decided to give it a go these past couple of months, with some reading and studying on the side as well. Still haven’t played any real poker (for $), but if I ever decide to do it, all the practice I got will definitely come in handy.

I’m still trying to figure each and every one of you out, like what play style are you using or any clues I should be aware of for each hand, but it’s quite the learning curve, as some of you seem to be pretty good at this game lol. And then there are the leaks in my game, which definitely don’t help.

Last, but not least - Gramma, every once in a while I’m like ā€œha, I got you with this monster handā€ and then you proceed to destroy me…

Hi @blndr,

Welcome! Glad you are liking the site! It is great practice and a fun way to play a lot of hands. Feel free to post in the forums anytime you have questions or comments.

TOP TOP on the leaderboards, Jamie Gold style.

@blndr - I am having fun battling as well. It is fun playing against all the different styles that people have here. Nice flop on that JJ4 board! Unfortunately for you, I didn’t have much. That 843 board was just a cooler - not sure what else you could have done with top two pair and a bunch of draws out there.

Wow Gramma, what a match! Came all the way down to the wire…

When I started here, I was so god awful it was almost not funny. You’ll figure out how to adjust. So don’t give up, this is a cool tool to learn. I went way down in the hole at first, took a few matches to figure out how to adjust and start winning.

Can anyone confirm if the winrate number (bb/100) is that out of 100 hands, or out of 100 big blinds? Is there a maximum this number can be?

@Vexxus - BB/100 is how many big blinds you won for every 100 hands that you played. In theory, there is no maximum that this number can be. It is helpful for determining how profitable you are at a given game.

Trying to get my rating up, not down lol

Question: all the hands in a match get check/folded as soon as I don’t reply my opponent’s action on even one hand, right? Is there a way to change this to only check/fold if the player’s been completely inactive in the past two days? Just wondering because I was busy and didn’t get to cycle through all my hands in time…

@RayCarmelo we started out with it configured like that, unfortunately what ended up happening is some players would just leave the match and it would take 2 days between every action… like check (2 days wait) check (2 days wait) check etc. This frustrated a lot of players who didn’t understand what was happening so now if you timeout it folds out all your hands.

(Effective next Kings Court match) increased hands and timeout on the Kings Court 6max game to 2500 hands and 4 days timeout to minimize variance and allow for deeper reflection when needed.
