Bluff-catch of the year goes to Capable
POOL Discussion Thread
I feel like you guys are trying to tell me something…
Is Fiery Game at 1002/1000 hands for anyone else? Weird.
Yeah I see it too. But when I click hands it shows 1000. So hopefully just a bug with the interface, I’ll fix it and let me know if you notice it again.
I’m pretty sure I didn’t click call OTR in this hand. Don’t know what happened. Is there ever bugs in these spots or did I do something weird before fully waking up?
Turned out well tho XD but a bit results oriented.
@Kalupso I’m guessing most likely scenario is you clicked call on previous hand and inadvertently clicked it again. There isn’t any delay between hands being shown - sometimes I think I should add a delay but I also like how snappy it is currently . The only other thing I can think of is that you accidentally set an automation in that spot to always call (but that seems pretty unlikely). If you see it again I’ll investigate further!
Thanks for reply. Yes, I likely double clicked call/check or something. I also like that it’s very fast and responsive. A couple of mis-clicks every 1k hands isn’t a big deal for me when it’s just practice/competition.
This is the result of the matches your winning finishing before the matches your loosing.
My time at the top will be short lived.
Congrats! You should be safe from me for a bit Have a big win coming in but also a pretty substantial loss.
Once you get to the top can your number go up from there?
If your rating goes up by beating opponents with higher ratings, then once you are at the top, you can only go down?
@ToddPig your rating will still go up by beating lesser rated opponents, it will just go up more slowly.
One thing I should point out too is that the ratings algorithm has a ramp up period where it’s easier to jump up or down a bunch of points as a new account. That’s why we’re seeing the Leaderboard fluctuate so much here at the beginning.
The reason for this is say you are a strong player and you create a new account at 1500. If you immediately beat a 1700 player, the algorithm thinks “since we have no history on this player and they just beat a 1700, they are probably closer to 1700 than 1500”. So the algorithm might immediately give them a score of 1620.
Compare that to a player who has been around for a while, someone who has completed 20 matches, and has a rating of 1512, if they beat the 1700 player the algorithm would think “this player might have just gotten lucky in this one match and their true rating is still around 1540”.
Hahaha, I ran pretty hot in spots there…
something glitchy happened here. dunno how to tag hand # to debug, but i didnt automate any post flop stuff, remember the flop bet – and then the same flop spot came up a second time, i assumed it didnt take for whatever reason so made same bet… didnt do it a third time though.
edit: BuggyButler table. also sorry bad format, are you guys screenshotting when you share hands or did i miss some tags? edit edit: fixed, ty.
@rayofhope you can click the little camera icon here if you are running Google Chrome on desktop and it will copy an image to your clipboard:
Otherwise on Mobile I’d just take a screen capture, or use a program called LightShot on desktop that lets you capture parts of your screen.
Bah, thanks. saw that button but didnt think to try pasting afterwards. fixed, ty.
Hahaha, nh. That was a bad river for me with 88.
